If your business operates within the repair, maintenance, home improvement, property development or refurbishment sectors of the UK building industry, the innovative Stiltz Home Lift could help bring your next project to life.
Easy to install and providing instant future-proofing for any home, Stiltz lifts offer a unique and space-saving solution which provides a safer, more convenient way for your clients to move from floor to floor throughout their home.
The first and only lift of its kind available worldwide, the Stiltz Home Lift simply looks great in the home. Its stylish and elegant design blend equally well with contemporary and traditional environments. It has a compact footprint of less than a square metre but is spacious enough to comfortably carry two people. The Stiltz Home Lift is also quiet, smooth and fast when compared to other lifts on the market; travelling between floors in as little as 30 seconds.
Two parallel, vertical stilts – hence the company’s name – bear the load of the entire domestic lift, and guide it as it travels through the floor. As the guides are at the centre line of the lift they create a self-supporting structure which eliminates the need for load bearing walls, meaning no lift pit, shaft or major structural alterations are required.
The Stiltz Home Lift is also very versatile as it is made up of modular sections, which readily pass through, and under, standard doorways and ceilings. This flexible design is very appealing to builders as it drastically reduces installation time and means a standard retrofit can usually be completed in just one day.
Once installed, the lift can be powered by plugging it straight in to a normal, domestic 13-amp power socket – no hydraulics are required. This not only makes it practical for the home owner but it is also extremely energy efficient and economical. The Stiltz Home Lift even has an emergency battery back-up, so should there be a power cut, the user will never get stuck between floors.
Typically, the Stiltz Home Lift will be fitted in a hallway or living room and travel upstairs to a main bedroom or landing area but there are many other – almost limitless – options too, especially during a refurbishment project. The lift can be installed virtually anywhere within a domestic residence irrespective of décor, ceiling profile, build material or age/style of home. Clients can choose to display their lift, or conceal it within a cupboard so it blends more readily with their décor.
Standard features on the popular Stiltz Duo Classic Home Lift include a neutral cream exterior and door with a matching beige interior lining colour, a half-height door, two remote controls, internal LED downlights and a full height light curtain for added safety and peace of mind. For that touch of luxury, optional extras include a fold down seat, bespoke colour finishes and an interior telephone.
Each Stiltz lift has a number of safety features including a safety lid plug which means the floor aperture is never exposed, key switch operation, top and bottom safety pans with distance sensors, hold-to-run controls, weight limit sensors, out of balance monitoring, a fall arrest mechanism, an emergency stop button and over speed detection.
The Stiltz Home Lift is fully compliant with the European Machinery Directive 2006 / 42 / EC and includes a two-year warranty. Stiltz also supply a larger lift, the Trio wheelchair-friendly range. All are available in the Classic, the Thru-car which has opposing doors, and the contemporary, clear-sided Vista models.
