The Ramada Plaza in Belfast is undergoing a major refurbishment of its conferencing and banqueting suites thanks to a £500,000 investment.

The hotel, which is the flagship property owned by Lord Rana’s Andras House group, recently benefited from a £1m refurbishment which saw the transformation of its Grand Ballroom, lobby and Laganview Suite.

The upcoming work, supported by Danske Bank, is expected to take six weeks.

Andras House also owns four other hotels in Belfast, two Ibis hotels as well as the Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn.

Last month the group was given permission to build Northern Ireland’s first Hampton by Hilton.

Rajesh Rana, director of Andras Hotels said: “We are delighted that this next stage of the investment at the Ramada Plaza will soon commence.  This refurbishment is design-led, with designers Philip Rodgers providing a unique look that will feature handmade fittings and bespoke items of furniture and lighting that will ensure that the Ramada Plaza is offering customers the very best it can and compliments the rest of the hotel’s exceptional standard of interiors. This will be a 5-star level of fit-out, guaranteeing that we can provide a wide range of top class events facilities to suit our clients tastes and requirements,” the director added.
