In a move that will be seen as a bold statement of confidence in London’s economy, Canary Wharf Group has announced that it will launch a new, 58-storey residential tower.
The building, One Park Drive, has been designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the architecture practice behind the Tate Modern Extension, the re-development of Stamford Bridge and the Beijing Olympic Stadium. One Park Drive is Herzog & de Meuron’s first residential project in the UK and will become one of the tallest residential towers in London.
The building is part of the next phase of Canary Wharf’s development which will aim to deliver more residential properties and commercial spaces that encourage an even broader range of business and retail occupiers.
