Player performance tracking and injury treatments have benefited from a raft of upgrades at Stoke City FC’s training complex following a period of works by Novus Property Solutions.
A team of 30 people from Novus worked at the club’s Clayton Wood training facility for a period of 20 weeks to install a new television gantry, a treatment room extension, a new maintenance workshop and a new gate house before the new Premier League season got underway.
The new TV gantry was built to house a state-of-the-art camera that tracks player performance to enable coaches to analyse the team’s progress more deeply, while the treatment room extension – which Novus matched and blended seamlessly with the existing facility – has created an improved environment for the club’s medical staff to work in.
Brick and zinc cladding was used in the construction of both the new gate house at the entrance to the training ground and the maintenance workshop used by Clayton Wood’s ground staff.
Adam Williams, construction manager at Novus Property Solutions, said: “The work was carried out across various different areas of the Clayton Wood site and one of the key objectives of the project was that operations were unaffected throughout the programme.
