Dyson Energy Services, a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, is pleased to announce the successful award of a prestigious contract with South Lakes Housing, as part of the Cumbria Consortium. The contract, valued at £7 million, spans a two-year period and positions Dyson Energy Services as the trusted delivery partner for the retrofit scheme.
The retrofit project, funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave two, aims to enhance energy efficiency in the social sector and contribute to the government’s target of achieving an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘C’ for all homes by 2030.
Dyson Energy Services will employ its expertise and extensive experience to retrofit a total of 905 properties with a range of measures, including solar PV, cavity wall insulation upgrades, loft insulation, heating upgrades, and energy-efficient lighting, all compliant with the rigorous PAS 2035 standards.
Residents of the treated properties can look forward to a multitude of benefits resulting from the retrofit project.
These include savings on energy bills, a reduced carbon footprint, and homes that are futureproofed against rising energy costs. By aligning with the government’s broader agenda to meet net-zero targets, Dyson Energy Services will actively contribute to lower carbon emissions, helping create a sustainable and greener future.
In line with the contract, Dyson Energy Services are thrilled to announce the opening of a new unit in Kendal.
This strategic investment reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional service throughout the contract’s duration and beyond. Moreover, Dyson Energy Services is dedicated to fostering local talent and creating green job opportunities within the community. As part of this initiative, the company will collaborate with Kendal College to educate learners in relation to the energy efficiency industry and the vast opportunities within the green sector.
