National bathroom and tile retailer, Easy Bathrooms, is well-stocked to support the UK’s homebuilders during the coronavirus pandemic, with £25million worth of products available at its 165,000 sq. ft. distribution centres.

The announcement comes from Easy Bathrooms’ contract manager, Rob Holroyd, amid global supply chain shortages; which has seen many retailers struggling to supply thousands of product lines.

In a statement, the company said that it is observing guidelines set by the government, with employee safety being a first priority, with skeleton staff working a safe distance from each other.

Commenting on the industry, Rob said: “There is no business in our sector which is not being affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with global lockdowns hugely impacting on the supply of goods. We have spoken to many housebuilders who are worried about the impact the shortage of products is having on their business.

“There are also worries that, once the closed suppliers open back up, there will be a huge surge in demand, but little supply, meaning that their prices may increase.”

Easy Bathrooms stocked up heavily in the first quarter of the year, to pre-empt growth demand.

Speaking about Easy Bathrooms’ stock levels, Rob finished: “We want to support housebuilders during this difficult time, so we have a dedicated line to ensure that their enquiries are handled quickly and efficiently.”
