Celebrating its 20th anniversary with polymer supplier REHAU, a North-West manufacturer continues to deliver first-rate window solutions following pronounced growth in the commercial sector.

From its factory in Astley, Excell Trade Frames Ltd. (Excell) manufacture from uPVC windows and doors, using polymer supplied by REHAU. According to the company’s Directors John and Jill Oliviero, the company’s dedication to providing premium-grade products was a key factor behind its partnership with the polymer manufacturer, which began in 2001.

“Technology used in the production of window frames has vastly improved since the 80s, and we’ve always been keen to be at the forefront of that change,” John explains. “As such, when first looking for a supplier, we wanted one at the forefront of research and development.

“REHAU’s long-standing experience and reputation as a polymer innovator meant they were exactly who we were looking for. Once we’d established ourselves as a partner, things took off from there – we’ve experienced exceptional growth ever since, so we couldn’t be happier with our choice.”

Due to exponential business demand driven by the partnership, the company has moved three times to larger premises in the Manchester area, and now operates from an 18,000 sq. ft. factory with 38 employees. With REHAU’s products as its flagship range, the business was able to expand successfully into the commercial sector in 2013.

“We have to attribute this expansion due to the variety of products we’ve been able to produce, alongside the support we’ve received from REHAU,” Jill continues. “REHAU’s continual input on consumer trends such as sustainability and this has affected window system design has been integral to Excell keeping ahead in the market. For instance, the versatility of the TOTAL70C means we’ve been able to develop windows and doors that meet the needs of the trade, retail and commercial markets.”

“Moving forward, we’re keen to continue growing in all areas, particularly exciting is the launch of the Rio flush fit window and door system. Its high energy efficiency rating will save our customers money, while being made from recycled materials means it has strong environmental credentials. Looking back to our first factory in Irlam, we’re thrilled to have come as far as we have. With REHAU by our side, we’re looking forward to another twenty years of accomplished partnership.’

Trisha Naik, Area Sales Manager for REHAU, said: “Excell has done exceptionally well over the last two decades and we’re proud to have played a part in its success. Having to move three times due to business needs is proof that the company have built a well-deserved reputation in the window manufacturing industry. We feel assured knowing that the profile we provide is being put in expert hands, and are keen to see where Excell’s takes it next.”
