Formica Group is offering visitors to KBB Birmingham an exclusive preview of the new Axiom® and Prima® worktop collections, due to launch later this year.
The Axiom® range includes high-end, eye-catching designs in new colourways carefully developed by our design team based on customer feedback and key trends. New introductions include classic, oaks and grey-toned woods, as well as feature decors that celebrate original abstract patterns and designs. Due to their soaring popularity, urban decors of concretes and subtle plaster effects have been introduced to ensure the updated range responds to the current trend landscape.
All of the worktops in Axiom are now available with Matching splashbacks, enabling that desired monolithic look, using the same colour and material throughout the kitchen to create a seamless and fluid style. Also updating the Feature Splashbacks with the likes of the Terrazzos and Herringbone patterns means that there is more variety and choice to give a really unique touch to your kitchen.
Axiom® now includes thinner worktops and square edge alternatives, with a host of new decors and textures.
The Prima® collection offers a simplified choice of modern, contemporary designs, available with a post-formed edge and 4.1m lengths. With the focus on staple and essential decors that have design longevity, the updated range consists of natural elements such as exotic woods and pale stones as well as contemporary looking materials of quartz and concretes. These are brought to life with complementing textures.
For the first time since its 2019 launch, Aria® will be showcased at the event. A highly innovative surface, it was developed to be a genuine alternative to natural and engineered stone. Aesthetically faithful to its real-life counterparts, Aria® delivers an alluring visual appeal that provides world-class durability and outstanding value.
Nina Bailey, UK Design Manager at Formica Group sees Aria® as a unique solution to current surfacing trends. She explains: “Thin is in. Solid surfacing has made its way to the top with ultra-thin surfaces; with products like Aria we have the solution.”
Nina will be at KBB to discuss the new ranges and Formica Group’s trend predictions for 2020. She comments: “Colours and materials that reflect the outside world such as woods and stones will continue to be popular. Bringing nature into our homes has been a key trend over the last decade and that theme will continue to come through with greyed off greens, terracottas and blues. 2020 is the year of expression and individuality, so a new space opens for bold, abstract designs and patterns which complement and sit beautifully alongside our comforting natural looks.”
Formica Group will be exhibiting at KBB 1-4 March 2020, stand L100, NEC Birmingham.
Nina is recording a podcast in collaboration with KBB which discusses how design is bridging public and private life in an age where time spent at work, home and play blurs. It will be available to listen on the KBB website.
