International property and construction consultancy, Gleeds, has been awarded a place on the University of Leicester Estates Design Team Consultancy Services Framework providing cost management services.
The three year framework includes a number of new build and refurbishment projects on campus and forms part of the University’s wider Development Framework Plan. Ranked in the top 12 Universities in the UK, the University of Leicester has earmarked £1 billion to realise its goal of creating a campus which matches its ambition and reputation as an academic elite.
Having worked with the University of Leicester for over seven years, a team of 70 cost management professionals from the company’s central region will be responsible for the delivery of the framework’s projects.

Within the University of Leicester’s Development Framework Plan, funds were ring-fenced for a number of new energy-efficient buildings across the campus which Gleeds has already helped to deliver. These include the recently completed and award-winning £42 million Medical School and the £19 million Engineering Building, which is due to complete in Spring 2017.
