Leonard Design Architects, a global architectural practice which is headquartered in Nottingham, has chosen Berlin as its fifth office location.
After entering the German market four years ago, the AJ 100 ranked firm has delivered a number of impressive projects such as the master planning of Markisches Zentrum. Its decision to create a permanent base will enable the team to further its relationship with current clients whilst securing new opportunities. The Berlin office joins its established locations in London, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, and Nottingham.
John Morgan, director at Leonard Design, said: “On the back of our team working on some amazing projects in Germany, we were keen to establish a permanent presence. Berlin is a creative, exciting and architecturally inspiring city, so it was a natural choice.
“Members of our existing team will work in both the UK and Berlin to ensure the Leonard Design service and brand is consistent and delivered to our German clients. We’ll then be looking to relocate some colleagues as we’ve successfully done in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney as well as recruiting new people. We’ve found this creates an incredibly strong mix of those who already know the Leonard Design ethos and those with a fresh approach and local expertise.”
The Leonard Design team will be attending ExpoREAL, the international trade fair for property and investment, to formally launch its Berlin office and celebrate with existing clients.
