Turner & Townsend, the global professional services consultancy, has played a key role in a major fit out project for rapidly expanding North American software company Slack Technologies.
The consultancy provided cost, commercial and project management services for the refurbishment of Slack Technologies’ new Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Dublin. Turner & Townsend also provided project supervisor design process consultancy services on the new offices.
The 29,000 sq ft HQ allows the San Francisco-based collaborative software specialist to accommodate 184 staff in Ireland – tripling the workforce capacity and in line with the company’s global expansion plans.
Due to the success of the Dublin fit out, Slack Technologies has decided to further engage Turner & Townsend across its growing international office portfolio, including recently appointing the consultancy to the company’s San Francisco office project.
Philip Matthews, Director for Turner & Townsend, said: “Due to continuing global growth, Slack Technologies has needed to expand its office capacity and the new EMEA HQ in Dublin is a prime example. The team in Ireland applied rigorous controls from start to finish and we are in the final stages of successfully delivering an additional European project. Our experience and expertise in managing complex fit out projects with multiple stakeholders to tight deadlines resulted in Turner & Townsend being chosen and we look forward to hopefully supporting them with future projects.”
Ciaran Chaney, Facilities Manager for Slack Technologies, added: “Turner and Townsend has provided Slack with a highly professional service. The team has continually driven the project through clear communication and organisation. Any challenges have been met with a great enthusiasm and a proactive approach. Additionally, their flexibility with unforeseeable issues has to be admired.”
