After the hugely successful launch at London ExCeL earlier this year, Green Living Live, in partnership with myenergi debuts at the NEC Birmingham alongside Grand Designs Live from 5-9 October 2022, to showcase the latest innovative new sustainable developments and products, and now features its own live theatre and advice zone.

The Sustainable Future Theatre stage will give visitors the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and advice first hand from a host of inspirational experts on topics such as how to plan an eco-build or refit a house, advice on how to heat the home in a cost-effective way, how to source sustainable furnishings, as well as advice tailored to every project.

Taking to the stage is British designer, upcycler, entrepreneur, and TV presenter Max McMurdo who joins forces with IKEA to highlight ways to reduce waste by upcycling and innovative ways to reduce bills for winter. On Thursday 6th in the afternoon, Max will showcase clever ways to transform old IKEA into exciting IKEA, and on Friday join him as he demonstrates how you can create a cost-effective home through the winter months.

Visitors will also see James Walsh, CEO of StudioAnyo Architects, present a variety of educational talks including Designing for Climate Change and facing the challenges for a better future, and No Bills – The Cost of Moving to Carbon Zero; and Petina Julius who hosts talks on Biophilia Design. Biophilia translates as ‘a love of nature’ and Petina delves into the innate connection we all have with the natural world; a bond so deep that natural environments have a scientifically proven impact on our well-being. As a biophilic expert, Petina’s designs incorporate principles that stimulate positive connections with interior spaces.

The Green Living Advice Zone powered by OVO, is a feature area focusing on nine pillars of wisdom to decarbonise your home. There will be experts available throughout the show to answer questions about insulation, heat pumps, smart meters, solar PV, EV charging, and much more to help consumers find the best solutions for their home. Visitors will be able to pre-book or rock up to FREE advice sessions with experts in each topic, covering whole house retrofit.

Across the rest of Green Living Live, the show is dedicated to bringing innovative and exciting new developments in sustainability with unrivalled education and insight into eco-friendly products and services from companies that put sustainability at the heart of their business.
