A Yorkshire headquartered property group, that was established 11 years ago, has won a trio of coveted awards at the International Property Awards in London.

Priestley Homes won the best residential development award in Cheshire for The Paddocks in Knutsford. It also won the best residential renovation development award in West Yorkshire for its development, Cliff Oaks in Leeds.

The groups construction division, Priestley Construction, also got in on the action winning the best new small hotel construction and design award in Cheshire for The Old Post Office in Warrington, which was delivered on behalf of its client, Deuce Hotels.

The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. A world-renowned mark of excellence, the awards are open to both residential and commercial property businesses from across the globe.

Nathan Priestley, Founder and CEO of Priestley Group, said: “These three projects are all very different. From the creation of new build grand-design style homes at The Paddocks, through to the careful restoration and development of a former private estate and the painstaking renovation of a historic former Post Office, to create what has become an award-winning hotel. What all three had in common, was our dedicated and professional approach to getting the job done, overcoming many challenges, and ensuring we kept to the very highest of standards. We are very proud of what we achieved, but to also receive third party endorsement from the International Property Awards panel, is massively rewarding.”

The Paddocks is a rural development in Plumley, Knutsford, Cheshire where Priestley Construction has built four bespoke 5,000 sq ft detached homes set in large plots in an unbeatable prime countryside setting. Nathan added: “These stylish homes, which include a huge amount of large-scale feature glazing, exposed steel, and large open plan room with the very best in quality finishes throughout. With a starting price of £1.9million, we have created the best high-end homes this area has ever seen, with an unbeatable wow factor alongside every modern, smart technology feature you can think of!”

Cliff Oaks is a former private estate, which has had several uses over the years before falling victim to fire damage. Priestley Homes bought the site in 2019 and has transformed it into 20 modern homes, whilst playing careful homage to its history and character features.

Nathan added: “It’s been a mammoth task to return this old estate to its former glory, and we feel so happy to have saved it from rack and ruin and deliver a collection of beautiful homes, preserving it for the future.” Priestley Homes has converted and refurbished the main house and also extended it, to deliver eight stunning apartments. The former stables have become four semi-detached houses, and the original gate lodge has also been fully refurbished. The firm has also built seven new build townhouses within the grounds. Nathan said: “The manor house, stables and lodge had been exposed to fire damage and the elements for so many years, but our amazing team have sympathetically restored and converted this listed manor estate into a fabulous and unique new homes development, which are proving very popular with buyers.”

The Old Post Office in Warrington is a Grade II listed building that was last occupied in 2017 and has been vacant ever since. Nathan said: “Our aim was to deliver the best hotel in town, whilst also being sympathetic to the original listed building and keeping within a strict budget for our boutique hotel operator client. We finished the 21-room hotel last year. Each room is unique with its own kitchen and bathroom, and it’s already become a top-rated hotel that has set the bar in terms of quality and style in Warrington.”
