Horbury Property Services, part of the Horbury Group, has announced it has become one of the approved contractors, for providing Passive Fire Safety services, as part of the Fusion21 ‘national compliance and facilities management’ framework agreement.
Fusion21 is a series of procurement frameworks for the property, construction and built environment sectors, with its frameworks accessed by members for procurement purposes in the education, social housing, local authority and healthcare sectors.
Becoming an approved contractor on Fusion21 will mean that any public sector organisation can have complete confidence in partnering with Horbury Property Services to meet its commercial and residential stock requirements within the specialist area of regulatory compliance.
This latest framework will run for four years and offers 17 lots and covers a number of services in addition to passive fire, including electrical safety and facilities management, water hygiene and asbestos management.
Richard Sutton, General Manager at Horbury Property Services, said: “This is a really exciting development for our business. We have built our reputation on delivering high quality projects to main contractors and developers and these are now made even more accessible due to Horbury becoming an approved contractor on the Fusion21 framework.”
Horbury Property Services is an extension to the Horbury Group’s comprehensive range, due to demand from its existing customers for hard FM services.
Richard Sutton adds: “There is vital work to be done to ensure buildings are safe to occupy, through regular inspections, repair works, refurbishment and planned preventative maintenance.
Particularly with the increasing number of taller buildings and the adoption of ‘stay put’ policies, fire safety is vital and it is essential to ensure that this is not compromised during the lifetime of the structure.”
Phil Woodhead, facilities management framework manager at Fusion21, said: “Following demand from our members, we have developed this framework to offer increased support around property compliance needs, whilst ensuring Fusion21 members continue to benefit from significant efficiency savings.”
Phil continues: “We added a number of new ‘lots’ this time, including Passive Fire Safety to reflect the growing demand for these services from our members.”
Horbury Property Services provides a full range of services, including inspection, installation, repair and maintenance of fire doors, joinery works, fire stopping, sealing and compartmentation and external cladding and render repairs. In addition the company provides dry wall partitioning, painting and decorating, ceiling and flooring upgrades, de-mountable screens, fire alarm and emergency light testing, portable appliance testing, electrical testing and installation work and building fabric repairs.
