The publication of this year’s Brick Awards shortlist has seen Ibstock scoop an impressive number of nominations, for an array of dynamic projects.
The Leicestershire-based business, which is the UK’s foremost manufacturer of clay bricks and concrete products, has been shortlisted for a total of 36 projects across a string of categories; the highest number of nominations secured by any single manufacturer at this year’s ceremony.
Ibstock works in close collaboration with architects and specifiers, ensuring the brick’s used meet the unique needs of each project. Among the inspiring case studies recognised at this year’s awards include work at the Royal Academy of Arts, which has been nominated in the refurbishment category; and a series of nationwide developments with Bellway Homes, shortlisted for House Builder of the year.
Annette Forster, group marketing director for Ibstock, commented: “We’re absolutely elated to lead the shortlist for this year’s Brick Awards. Sitting at the heart of building, Ibstock has been privileged enough to be involved with some truly remarkable projects over the past 12 months, and it’s fantastic to see the hard work of the team recognised at such a high level.
“The Brick Award nominations are the latest milestones in what has been a busy and exciting year for Ibstock. Earlier this year, we officially launched our rebranded corporate identify and, in June, opened the doors to The I-Studio – an innovative new showroom for the UK’s thriving architectural community and part of our ongoing commitment to building better spaces and communities.”
The results of this year’s Brick Awards, which celebrate the best examples of clay brick in the built environment, will be announced on Wednesday, 13th November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
