Shoreditch Village, the mixed-use and public realm development within London’s creative quarter, today announces the signing of RB12, an interior design space showcasing collections from international brands, and offering product procurement, architectural planning and project management services for commercial and residential projects. The new 1,927 sq ft unit is positioned over two levels and located within one of three available retail units adjoining the citizenM boutique hotel.

It opens to the public today (26th February 2018).

RB12, the name behind the staging for projects such as Battersea’s Ransome’s Dock and Plum Tree Mews, Streatham, will exhibit work from established designers such as Minacciolo, Novamobili, Saba and Brokis. The space has also been master-planned with visitors in mind and will feature an artisan café for those seeking to work or relax amongst the surroundings.

After working together on a number of high-end property and interior design projects since 2012, Co-Founders Dean Louw and Rafael Borrego expanded their expertise to create the RB12 concept. The location at Shoreditch Village will be their debut space, and follows the announcement of the arrival of restaurant Mamarosa Shoreditch, which is scheduled to debut to the UK market mid-2018.

Dominic White, Managing Director of Shoreditch Village, commented: “We are delighted that RB12 has chosen our site as the destination of their first ever creative design space. The studio will further add to the diversity of our tenant mix as we continue to curate a public space surrounded by new and emerging businesses.”

Dean Louw, Co-Founder of RB12, commented: “We are very excited to be opening our design space in Shoreditch Village. We have curated a beautiful contemporary collection of design pieces, many new to the UK market. The Shoreditch Village ethos is a perfect fit for our brand.”

Shoreditch Village is bordered by Holywell Lane, King John Court, and New Inn Yard. Its offer consists of a 216 bedroom citizenM hotel, eight luxury apartments, and three retail units alongside the new restaurant building.

The development’s second phase was sold to a Brockton Capital Fund in 2016. Once complete, the scheme will provide around 50,000 sq ft of warehouse-style office space, 20,000 sq ft of flexible retail space, and a street market, all surrounded by an open and inviting, south-facing public space. Development of this phase is due to commence later this year, with completion scheduled for 2020.

Shoreditch Village is located just a short walk to Shoreditch High Street (Zone 1: Overground) and Liverpool Street (Zone 1: Hammersmith & City, Circle, Metropolitan, and Central lines) stations.

CF Commercial acted on behalf of Shoreditch Village on the RB12 letting. Hurford Salvi Carr acted on behalf of RB12.
