Leading building services provider J S Wright has secured a contract worth more than £3.5m for a stunning new riverside development in east London.
The company, which has offices in Birmingham, Bristol and London, will design and build the mechanical services for 144 energy efficient affordable homes within the second and third phases of New Union Wharf on the Isle of Dogs.
The design and build deal will include installing a combined heat and power (CHP) energy centre for the six-block scheme, which replaces an ageing 1970s housing estate, for the developer Hill.
J S Wright will provide heat recovery ventilation, underfloor heating, low pressure hot water heating and domestic hot and cold water services for all the apartments, which will be managed by East Thames Housing Group.
The award-winning company will also install a heat interface unit with pre-payment metering in each apartment to deliver boosted domestic water services, along with sanitary ware and soil and waste services.
It has already started work on site on the specialist mechanical package with completion of the third phase of the scheme scheduled for December 2018.
J S Wright is already working with Hill on the design and installation of mechanical services for 441 apartments in Alperton and 161 retirement flats in Muswell Hill and is about to start work on 195 houses and apartments in Brentford for the developer.
Marcus Aniol, Managing Director of J S Wright, said: “We are delighted that our proven skills and expertise in residential fit outs have been rewarded with yet another major commission from a developer with whom we have built a highly successful working relationship.”
J S Wright specialises in the design and installation of mechanical and electrical services for the hotel, residential, social housing, student accommodation, leisure and commercial sectors.
