The Conrad Hotel in Dublin has begun an €8 million renovation project which should be completed in just over one month.
The luxury property, part of the Hilton Worldwide group will include a new design for all guest rooms and suites, featuring “a subtle colour palette, natural oak flooring, and finishes such as Herringbone wool carpets and wood panelling on the walls”. The hotel’s restaurant and bar will also be revamped and a new brasserie-style offering is being introduced. The group stated that further details will be announced closer to the completion date.
The redesigned lobby area has been inspired by the rosarium at Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens, and will feature “an abundance of flora and natural, indigenous materials, which have been used to marry historical influences with a contemporary finish”.
Meanwhile the ground floor lounge and bar will take inspiration from Dublin-born Jonathan Swift’s work Gulliver’s Travels. The hotel’s exterior façade is also being renovated.
