When a Northern Ireland business was looking at a comfortable, accessible way to continue growing their nail beauty business moving everything into a dedicated garden room seemed a sensible solution.
And delivering the perfect levels of comfort and fresh air all year round demanded the best ventilation and air conditioning system available.
Due to multiple lockdowns, home-working for many people has become the norm. Even now, extending remote-work arrangements beyond the pandemic are becoming a serious consideration for many forward-thinking businesses. However, keeping your home and work life separate can be challenging, so it’s of no surprise that garden rooms have become very popular.
For one client with a new garden studio for her nail studio, the inclusion of state-of-the-art heat recovery ventilation and advanced air conditioning is ensuring client comfort all year round.
Eve Mullan had many reasons to move her nail art business out of her home and into the garden. However, after the first lockdown in March 2020, with restrictions not allowing mixing of different households in a private home, the small business owner’s decision to make the move to a garden room was accelerated.
The Challenge
Extending the home heating system to her garden ‘studio’ wasn’t a feasible option, and to make her new ‘workplace’ usable all year round, she needed a simple and cost-effective heating, cooling and ventilation solution which would ensure her clients felt comfortable and Covid-safe during their appointments.
Air Cool Engineering NI designed a straightforward and cost-effective solution using an M Series air conditioning system from Mitsubishi Electric to deliver perfect creature comfort, whatever the weather.
Using advanced heat pump technology, the M Series wall mounted system efficiently delivers heating and cooling to small and medium sized spaces. The stylish and compact wall mounted unit perfectly suits the room’s decor.
Plus, as the M Series only requires a single phase electricity supply, installation is quick and easy. The M Series is available as wall or floor mounted units.
“As the nail studio is detached from my house, the stand alone air conditioning and ventilation system gives me the flexibility to safely extend appointment availability and operate in all weathers”, explains Eve.
Fresh air with heat recovery
The garden studio also benefits from fresh air ventilation with heat recovery direct from a wall-mounted Lossnay unit.
The client was also concerned about ventilation and wanted a simple solution to provide fresh, filtered air – without having to open windows.
Air Cool Engineering NI installed a VL-100EU wall mounted Lossnay to provide heat recovery ventilation to the space. This unit is even more compact than the wall mounted air conditioning unit and will provide fresh air vertically or horizontally into the space via a simple adjustable flap on the front of the unit.
The Lossnay is positioned to serve the working area, providing fresh air ventilation in these uncertain times.
“I am confident that with air cool engineering’s help, I have all measures in place to make my business Covid-safe and comfortable for myself, clients and family”, added Eve Mullan. “After such a long period of lockdown, I’m really looking forward to getting back to work and welcoming my wonderful clients to my new garden studio.”
