Osborne has been awarded three contracts to repair and refurbish railway arches near Vauxhall Station in South London.

Each contract is for two railway arches facing the Albert Embankment between Vauxhall and Waterloo Station.

The contracts, each valued at around £0.5m, have been awarded by Network Rail, with work beginning in on the first phase this month and being completed by August 2015. The second phase will start in July and the third in September.

The work involves the replacement of existing fixtures and fittings, including ground slabs; extensive cleaning of brickwork with the application of moisture blocking material to internal walls and arch crowns; and the installation of glazed infills to the front and rear of each arch.

Vauxhall Station serves the South West Trains line linking Waterloo and Clapham Junction, as well as the Victoria London Underground line.

Osborne’s experience working on projects for Network Rail has included extensive arch refurbishments in and around London over a number of years.
