DONCASTER pupils will have more space to learn as a four classroom extension is constructed at Stirling Primary School.
Pick Everard, a leading independent management, design and construction consultancy, is providing quantity surveying services with Kier Services Ltd who are acting as the main contractor on the £1.5 million project.

The new extension being delivered on behalf of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council uncovered a few surprises for the excavation team. Relics from times gone by were dug up under the redundant cellars including an old hat, iron, frying pan and even a tin bath dating back to 1933.
Jon Parry, regional director at Pick Everard, said: “This is a great scheme which will deliver new and improved facilities comprising a four classroom extension and a main entrance extension onto the existing primary school.
“Our considerable experience in the education sector has meant that we were able to work closely alongside Stirling Primary School, the local authority and contractor to provide effective cost management services.”
The project at Stirling Primary School is being delivered via Scape Group. The works also include a new school car park, paths, drainage, planting areas, improvements to the existing courtyard and refurbishment works to parts of the existing school.
Jon added: “As part of the extension to the front of the school, a new secure entrance with reception and office will be built, together with supplementary internal refurbishment works to create new offices, which will be a vast improvement to the current layout.
“The rear elevation works consist of the construction of a new extension to create four new classrooms complete with new toilet facilities, stores and cloak areas. The mix of render, facing brickwork and glazing materials will give a fresh modern day look. Refurbishment works to the existing school where existing rooms are to be changed and upgraded for a new use. I wish both pupils and teachers many happy years in their new space.”
