As winter’s icy grip bites, faster and easier joint sealing in temperatures as low as – 30°C is provided by new ISO BLOCO 600 Premium Edition foam tape from ISO-Chemie.

The pre-compressed impregnated self-adhesive foam tape, which has been independently tested* and is BBA approved, can be used on joints up to 42 mm, providing a high-performance weather tightness and thermal/acoustic insulation seal for fenestration and façade applications.

The versatile ISO BLOCO 600 Premium Edition can be used to provide effective gap seals to accommodate expansion and movement while remaining permeable to trapped water and water vapour in extreme weather conditions – similar to a flexible breathable style material for the building facade.

Quick and easy-to-apply, the tape can be used to seal joints providing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties.  Product can accommodate a temperature range of -30° to +90° and is impermeable to driving rain with a minimum of 600 Pa, making it one of the best performing tapes in its class.

Once installed, a building is better protected from elemental factors like wind, dust and moisture ingress by accommodating the changes in structural movement caused by environmental, cyclical and settlement factors.

ISO-Chemie is one of Europe’s main producers of impregnated foam sealants, specialising in the manufacturer of foam products from polyethylene (EPE), polypropylene (EPP) and polyurethane (PUR) using the latest production techniques. More at https://www.iso-chemie.eu/en-GB/home/

* The RAL-Gütegemeinschaft Fugendichtungs-Komponenten und -Systeme e.V. (Quality Assurance Association for Joint Sealing Components and Systems) specifies special quality and test regulations for joint sealing strips. ISO-BLOCO 600 Premium Edition was tested test house ift Rosenheim in Germany to achieve the RAL Quality Mark. This confirmed product meets temperature resistance, thermal conductivity, building materials class B1, vapour diffusion resistance, BG 1 classification, driving rain impermeability of at least 600 Pa, sealing joint permeability (a-value) of a ≤ 0,1 m3 / [h · m · (daPa)n] and a noise reduction value of 58 dB.
