It may seem that 2019 has been overshadowed by talk of Brexit, but in between all the media frenzy, in some areas, it has been business as usual. This was certainly true for Grundfos Pumps whose battery of pumps and pump solutions were present at many of the year’s other memorable moments.
Take for example in April when all eyes turned to the new £1 billion new Tottenham Hotspurs stadium. This 62,000-seater stadium Is supported by a range of Grundfos specialist circulators and booster and pressurisation sets, that will ensure the delivery of the necessary pump power, off the pitch.
In the summer Glastonbury and its 200,000 visitors hit the headlines and making sure there was availability and accessibility to sufficient clean water, saw Grundfos put forward a coordinated approach that involved the upgrade of the pump motors to more energy efficient versions, the incorporation of a new precision dosing system and a remote monitoring system that delivered significantly improved data exchange.
Hot on Glastonbury’s heels came Wimbledon and to overcome the challenge of the British weather, a second court – Court No 1 was reconfigured and had a retractable roof fitted. The pump solution to support this upgrade, included 48 Grundfos Unilift drainage pumps. Whose role it is to quickly and effectively remove any excess water.
And if all this is too much excitement then the new Papworth Hospital that opened its door this year and its small army of 32 supporting Grundfos pumps will be ready to get to the heart of things.
As we look forward to the 2020s – we are excited to think about the Grundfos solutions that will be waiting in the wings to support a myriad of new and exciting ventures. Visit www.grundfos.co.uk to find out more.
