ROCKWOOL Ltd has launched HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board. A comprehensive sound, thermal and fire safe solution, the HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board has been specifically developed for use on flat roof refurbishment projects.
Easy to specify and install, the HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board is ideal for both domestic and commercial refurbishment, in addition to up-stand details. It is compatible with all commonly used flat roof membranes, including Single-Ply and EPDM, Bitumen membranes and liquid membrane systems.
HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board can be installed directly over the in-situ roof membrane and can easily handle any minor imperfections on the existing external finish. It can be quickly applied using either adhesive or mechanical fixings, and provides a strong bond between membrane and insulation, thanks to an integral mineral coated glass fibre fleece. This also limits the amount of adhesive required.
“The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board has been tailored as a great insulation solution for contractors working on flat roof refurbishment jobs,” comments Paul Barrett, Product Manager at ROCKWOOL. “It’s very quick and simple to fit and provides an excellent acoustic and thermal insulation solution. Its fire resistant properties make it the ideal choice for torch applied bitumen systems, significantly reducing the risks associated with hot works applications.”
The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board has excellent acoustic properties, improving the sound insulation performance of the existing flat roof system, whilst offering a thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK over the lifetime of the building. It is also non-combustible and completely fire safe with an A1 Euroclass fire classification rating. CE marked and compliant with BS EN 13162 requirements, the HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board can be supplied in a choice of 30mm and 40mm thicknesses. HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board is supported by ROCKWOOL’s Technical Solutions team, who provide detailed advice, BIM modelling and ensure optimum value engineering for all projects.
