A £400k project to improve homes on four roads in St Ann’s will see new fences, sheds, paths and driveways installed.
Nottingham City Council recently approved the investment, which will see four areas of St Ann’s improved, as part of the overall regeneration of the area. Improvements have been designed to complement the work taking place nearby with new-build properties, helping the older homes integrate with the new.
Work will be delivered by Nottingham City Homes (NCH) and include new and replacement fencing, driveways and sheds, the formation of new boundaries and improved pathways.
Work will take place on:
- Pym Walk
- Beacon Hill Rise
- Limmen Gardens
- Flewitt Gardens.
Work will also include a road widening project near to the entrance of Rocket Park in St Ann’s.
Cllr Jane Urquhart, Portfolio Holder for Planning, Housing and Heritage at the City Council, said: “The Stonebridge redevelopment in St Ann’s is a major step in the regeneration of the area. This project is improving the quality of the existing homes across the neighbourhood, bringing them in line with the brand new housing being built around them. I’m delighted we’re able to get this work underway, continuing to transform neighbourhoods across the city.”
Work is expected to start in February 2018 and will be completed by September 2018.
Nick Murphy, Chief Executive of Nottingham City Homes, said: “We will be improving parking facilities for a number of homes, in some cases we’re able to provide additional driveways, to help get as many cars off the road as we can. New fencing, pathways and sheds will also contribute to improving the look and feel of the area, as well as providing extra storage.”
