From September, the B&B Italia mono-brand store – that since 2017 has also housed Arclinea the high-end kitchen – will host up-to-date presentations of Flos and Louis Poulsen lighting with their own areas dedicated to the sale of lighting products. At the same time the new overall Store concept brings together products from the different brands, designed within inspirational settings.

The pilot project in the London and Paris showrooms will allow Design Holding to experiment with a cross-brand sales strategy within a single space, providing consultancy on the selection and specification of furniture and lighting products. This will range from technical assistance for specific products or consultation and advise for a project for a room or complete scheme for a private house.

This will also be the occasion to discover the new 2020 collections of all the furniture
and lighting brands in store.

The new B&B Italia collection starts from the home as an evolving landscape, which can accommodate design objects with strong architectural features. Together with the uber-acclaimed 2020 re-edition of the Camaleonda sofa and the Gli Scacchi, Mario Bellini will introduce a sculptural table called Blitz and a chair, Cutter. The first collaboration with Canadian duo Yabu Pushelberg reveals the modular sofa Naviglio, composed of curved and linear elements. And Piero Lissoni enriches his range
of furniture with “Liagò” a new series of storage units ideal for dining and living areas.

Arclinea will display the new kitchen project Thea, designed by Antonio Citterio. Conceived using an advanced production system, Thea is functional, flexible in design and can be configured in many different compositions and layouts. Thea bears the name of the first kitchen produced by Arclinea 60 years ago.

Flos will unveil two new decorative lights: Coordinates – an impressive range of grid-like luminaires by Michael Anastassiades, and the long-awaited re-edition of Chiara, a cult lamp designed by Mario Bellini in 1969, now also released in a smaller table model in a
variety of finishes. Highlights from the new 2020 collection will also include the Bouroullecbrothers’ Belt lighting system in sophisticated artisan leather; Infra-Structure Episode2, an ingenuous three-dimensional system by Vincent Van Duysen, and the exquisite outdoor series In Vitro by Philippe Starck and Caule by Patricia Urquiola.

Louis Poulsen will present a strong selection of new products for 2020 designed to shape light. Among this years’ new products are a lighting range by Poul Henningsen, including the reintroduced icon PH Septima, the PH Artichoke in black and the PH 2/1
Table Limited Edition. In addition, Louis Poulsen will be showcasing a new range of AJ
lamps by Arne Jacobsen in stainless steel and special edition colours for 2020, the new
Panthella Portable by Verner Panton and the distinctive lamp series Keglen by BIG Ideas.

The project inside the flagship stores was created by Studio Calvi & Brambilla, who worked on both the concept of the showcase and the display areas dedicated to lighting. The new concept for the main window, which collects and connects all the new products from each of the brands, displays Camaleonda and its modular architecture, with a two-dimensional rendering of a project that is decomposed and recomposed three-dimensionally.

As far as lighting is concerned, the Flos’ area is a neutral, flexible space in which windows-monitors and panels divide the spaces between the lamps, each telling their story.
