Spread across 650 hectares in the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Brent, the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is the largest regeneration project in the UK.
Over the next 30 to 40 years the OPDC plans to develop and oversee 25,500 new homes, 65,000 new jobs, the new HS2 and Crossrail station, new Overground stations and new open space around the Grand Union Canal.
A 2016 review by the Mayor showed the need to review OPDC governance and board membership as “the Board is dominated to its detriment by public servants talking to each other.”
- What progress has been made on the delivery plan?
- When does the OPDC believe it will become self-financing?
- What progress has been made on planning consents for the Oaklands development?
The London Assembly will hold a question and answer session on the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) tomorrow. Topics for discussion will include:
- An update since the September 2017 Plenary
- Tenure split of ‘affordable homes’ in the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation area
- Maximising the OPDC’s benefit to London
The guests are:
- Liz Peace CBE, Chair, OPDC
- Mick Mulhern, Interim Chief Executive Officer, OPDC
Following this, Assembly Members will submit motions on various topics.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, 5 July from 10:00am in The Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
