The staff and pupils at Thursfield Primary School in Harriseahead will now be able to enjoy brand new classrooms, staff rooms and facilities following a range of refurbishments carried out by Novus Property Solutions.
Starting in July last year, a team of 12 Novus operatives has completed an extension to the school building that will form a new classroom, as well as the refurbishment of six other classrooms.
The works also included the creation of a new head teacher’s office, new toilets for staff and nursery children, a new first floor staff room and a number of new ground floor offices for admin staff to use.
All of the new rooms are designed to be modern and spacious, with energy efficient LED lighting fitted throughout.
Paul Carefull of Novus Property Solutions said: “We have worked on a number of similar projects over the years and we were confident we could deliver the required upgrades and refurbishments at Thursfield Primary School with the minimum of disturbance to staff and pupils.
“The Novus team was in constant communication with school staff to keep everyone on site abreast of developments, and the work was carefully phased so that lessons and school activities were not been adversely affected.”
