Industrial units need ultimate protection for their walls and roofs that withstands the elements to keep properties secure. Document control company Synertec, based on the outskirts of Warrington, Cheshire, knew they needed to sustain staff safety and maintain their strong reputation, so undertook this wall and roof cladding refurbishment project.
This landmark project was the first time specialist applicators, Cladding Coatings used the Alltimes Coatings’ Advantage Graphene 30-year system on a full roof. The system offers exceptional anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties, alongside its three-decade guarantee for peace of mind in installation and performance.
The project began with an on-site survey, objectively assessing the damage to clearly identify problem areas. This was supported by a drone survey, giving full sight of the roof cladding, rooflights and guttering through recorded footage for playback and assessment.
Introducing Advantage Graphene for roof coating
The roof cladding on this unit was deteriorating badly. The drone survey revealed the extent of the damage to the metal roof sheets, rooflights and gutters.
Advantage Graphene is a lightweight, UV coating for optimal roof protection. It also offers exceptional strength. Stronger than steel, Graphene forms an almost completely impenetrable barrier. This was ideal for Synertec, as the barrier makes it virtually impossible for even the tiniest fragment of debris or smallest droplet of water to bypass the graphene.
Implementing replacement rooflights
Rooflights also needed addressing, in this case, they needed replacing. This was a necessary step, rather than the preferable repair process, as the rooflights were too badly damaged to recover: safety needed to take priority.
Finally, debris and blockages were cleared from the roof guttering, which had caused a backlog of water damage due to poor drainage, and the guttering systems were relined to allow them to work efficiently and offer long term protection.
Cladding refurbishment and protection
Following on from the roof, the rear elevation of the unit also required refurbishment. Three different shades of specialist paint were used. Colour matching to suit company branding is really important to achieve a high-quality seamless finish.
